HELIX TEST - STAINLESS STEEL
With reference to the European Standard EN 285, the Bowie – Dick Test is a mandatory test for steam sterilisers.
This functionality test for steam sterilisers needs to be done at the beginning of each working day and after a successful pass of the Bowie & Dick Test the steam steriliser can be released for service.
The Bowie – Dick Test Set is dedicated for porous and hollow loads in pre-vacuum hospital steam sterilisers.
Compared to the BD Test Pack (porous loads) the Bowie – Dick Test Set simulates a hollow instrument and generates a bigger challenge for the steam steriliser and the steam sterilisation process.
It complies with EN ISO 11140-1 (Type 2) as well as EN-ISO 11140-4.
The test is easy to set up with the indicator tokens being folded and placed into the PCD prior to the entire test pack being placed within the steriliser.
Results are easy and quickly interpreted with the irreversible colour change of the test token. Results are simple to document and are reproducible.
The ink used in the product is free of any toxic component and the paper is highly quality re‐cycled material.
